The Act II Specialist Equities Fund is a Luxembourg Sicav, the investment strategy of which matches the Cayman-domiciled Act II Capital Fund. According to LFG, Act II Capital has returned 10.4% since launch in 2002.

The new fund offers daily liquidity and has US dollar, sterling and euro share classes.

According to LFG, its investment strategy is based on bottom-up stock selection across media, leisure, internet, consumer, technology, business services and telecommunications sectors. The fund’s managers will also select stocks from across the market cap spectrum.

Michael Didier, a partner in the Act II Capital SICAV, said: “Our strategy fits perfectly within the UCITS framework and we will have to make no alterations to the way we run our fund.”

LFG has established what it calls the Liquid Alpha UCITS Platform (LAUP) as a structure for third-party managers, particularly in the hedge and alternative space, to establish Ucits funds.

LFG has offices in Luxembourg, London, Bahrain and the US. Act II Capital is a New York-based equity manager that specialises in media, internet, technology and telecom stocks, primarily in the US.
