Hightower

The wealth firm has made a strategic investment in Hart Financial Group, a financial advisory business in Austin, Texas.

Founded in 1990, Hart Financial Group focuses on financial planning, asset management, risk management and tax-planning strategies.

Hart Financial Group has 12 employees, including five advisers.

Including this transaction, which is Hightower’s 8th in 2020, the firm now has 113 advisory businesses in 33 states.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Nesvold Capital Partners

The firm has made a minority investment in Pure Financial Advisors, a registered investment adviser with offices in San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Pure marks NCP’s second minority investment since the merchant bank launched last month.

People moves

Rockefeller Capital Management

The firm has named William Fenrich as general counsel.

Prior to joining Rockefeller, Fenrich was the chief legal officer at AQR Capital Management.

Lido Advisors

The registered investment advisory firm has appointed Andrew Parmet as senior vice president, senior portfolio manager, investment and analytics.

Before joining Lido Advisors, Parmet managed the global long-short hedge fund business Ausonian Management.

RBC Wealth Management

The firm has hired an all-female advisor team to its New York midtown office.

The LSS Group joins from JP Morgan, and consists:

  • Eden Lopez, managing director and financial adviser;
  • Leslie Schwartz, managing director and financial adviser;
  • Paula Steinberg, managing director and financial adviser;
  • Katie Bishop, vice president and marketing consultant;
  • Carmilita Aching, senior registered client associate; and
  • Alanna Hitscherich, registered client associate

Raymond James

The wealth firm has hired financial advisers Kirk Abrahamson and David Gray to its offices West Des Moines, Iowa.

Abrahamson joins Raymond James from RBC Wealth Management and is joined by client relationship consultants Michael Rowedder and Colby Spann.

The team operates as the Abrahamson Investment Group of Raymond James.

Gray also joins Raymond James from RBC Wealth Management and operates as David P. Gray of Raymond James.

Also, Raymond James hired financial adviser Roark Head and his team to its office in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Head joins from Wedbush Securities.

Joining him at Raymond James are Deborah Combs, client services associate, and Austin Head, registered client service associate.

Together, the team operates as Head Retirement & Wealth Strategies.
