US in the news: Miami-based firm partners with Jupiter Group

The AMCS Group

The Miami headquartered third-party distribution firm will represent the Jupiter Group, as introducer for its combined Ucits offering across both Jupiter and Merian branded funds.

Jupiter acquired Merian Global Investors on 1 July.

AMCS will be focusing its efforts for Jupiter exclusively in the US offshore market, targeting global private banks, US wirehouses, regional broker dealers and independent advisory firms.

Central to the AMCS strategy for Jupiter will be a focus on several of its flagship strategies, including Jupiter Dynamic Bond, Jupiter European Growth and the Merian Gold and Silver Fund.

AMCS will be partnering closely with William Lopez, Jupiter’s head of Latin America and US offshore, in a bid to expand the reach of Jupiter Group funds across its targeted segments and clients.

The Miami-based team focused on the Jupiter operation will include:

  • Chris Stapleton, co-founder and managing partner, overseeing global key account relationships across the region, as well as advisory and private banking relationships in the northeast;
  • Andres Munho, co-founder and managing partner, overseeing all advisory and private banking relationships in Florida;
  • Francisco Rubio, regional vice president, responsible for the southwest and west coast regions of the US, as well as private banks and independent advisory firms in Miami; and
  • The team is supported by Alvaro Palenga, sales associate and Virginia Gabilondo, client services manager.

People moves

BNY Mellon Wealth Management

The firm has named Audrianna Sibiski as senior client strategist, based in Menlo Park, California.

Sibiski joins BNY Mellon from Bank of America Private Bank, where she served as vice president and private client adviser.

The MFA Companies

The US advisory firm has hired two partners to its wealth management practice, MFA Asset Management.

Timothy Hole and Jeremy Robert join as director of financial planning and director of portfolio management and due diligence, respectively.

Hole previously served as a financial adviser in Morgan Stanley’s wealth management division.

Robert most recently served as an investment adviser with Kraematon Investment Advisors.
