Swiss wealth manager names head of India

He will be based in Hong Kong

Bank Julius Baer has appointed Vijay Solomon as group head global India and developed markets.

Solomon joins from Credit Suisse and brings with him a team of six relationships managers to provide wealth management services to Indian sub-continent and non-resident India clients in Asia.

He will report into Thorsten Linke, head global India and developed markets.

Long experience

Citing industry research, Julius Baer stated that it is currently the largest global wealth manager in India, based on India onshore AUM.

Solomon joins with more than 23 years’ experience in financial services and wealth management.

Most recently, he headed Credit Suisse’s NRI and Japan International businesses based out of Hong Kong.

Prior to that, he held senior wealth management roles at DBS, Societe General and ICICI Bank across the special administrative region and India.
