Majedie launches US equity fund for Brass

|

After six years as portfolio manager of the FF America Fund at Fidelity Worldwide Investment, Brass will take on the newly-created role of primary fund manager for the US equity fund. He will also co-manage two other new global equity funds – the Global Equity Fund and the Global Focus Fund – alongside Tom Record, Yuri Khodjamirian and Tom Morris.

Both the Global Equity and Global Focus funds will be domiciled in the UK, while the US Equity Fund will be domiciled in Dublin where the company has an existing range of funds.

Prior to joining, Brass initially managed a global consumer sector fund at Fidelity, where since 2013 he also managed the FAST US Fund. Previously he managed various global equity funds at Investec Asset Management, having joined in 2000 from Schroders, where he was a UK and then pan-European analyst.

“Over the past few years Majedie has developed a top notch global equity capability, largely in response to client demand,” chief executive Rob Harris said.

Fidelity will be making several changes to portfolio management responsibilities within its US Equity range, a spokesperson confirmed.

Angel Agudo will take over management responsibility for the FF America Fund. He will continue to manage his current fund, the FIF American Special Situations Fund.

Meanwhile Aditya Khowala will take over management responsibilities for the FAST US Fund. He will continue to manage the FF American Growth Fund in parallel.
