Quilter’s WealthSelect Managed Portfolio Service (MPS) has topped £20bn in assets under management (AUM), the firm reported today.

Launched in February 2014 with active and blended portfolios, WealthSelect was introduced to offer advisers outsourced day-to-day portfolio management, including asset allocation and fund selection.

The service was expanded in 2022 with the number of portfolios increasing from 16 to 56.

Originally only available on the Quilter platform, WealthSelect began being added to third party platforms last year.

The portfolios have been managed by Stuart Clark since launch, and he was joined by portfolio managers Helen Bradshaw and Bethan Dixon in 2023.

The portfolios hit £10bn in AUM towards the end of 2022 and have doubled in size in less than three years, the firm said.

The responsible and sustainable portfolios have amassed combined assets of £1bn in their three years of operation.

Clark said: “There is never a dull day in markets and the past 11 years have certainly confirmed this. The portfolios have withstood many destabilising events, including the Covid pandemic, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the bond market rout of 2022, and more recently the erratic trade policies coming out of the US.

“It has been really pleasing to see the portfolios deliver stability for investors during what has been a truly volatile period.”
