Former Schroders CEO joins board

Lazard

Peter Harrison has joined Lazard’s board of directors, bringing along 35 years of investment management experience.

Harrison was most recently group CEO at Schroders before retiring in 2024. During his tenure, which began in 2016, assets for the company more than doubled to £750bn.

Before Schroders, he served in senior positions at JP Morgan and Deutsche Asset Management. He was also a founding member of the UK Treasury’s Asset Management Taskforce and the Capital Markets Industry Taskforce.

Neuberger Berman

The firm has named Maya Bhandari as chief investment officer, multi-asset strategies, EMEA.

Bhandari was formerly global head of multi-asset at BNP Paribas Asset Management. She will be responsible for leading the multi-asset team’s investment and commercial efforts.

She will work closely with senior members of the investment team on global view development, portfolio construction and investment decision making, with a focus on the EMEA region.

She will also be a leader in the firm’s asset allocation and public private investment committees.

Tyndall Investment Management

The firm has appointed James Bowmaker as the boutique’s head of equity research and deputy fund manager of the VT Tyndall Unconstrained UK Income fund.

Bowmaker has spent the last 15 years analysing UK equities in roles at Jupiter and Merian Global Investors.

WisdomTree

The company has appointed Alexis Marinof as European CEO in a wave of senior team changes.

Marinof joined the firm as head of European distribution in 2017 and has been in charge of the firm’s exchange-traded fund (ETF) business since 2019.

In his new role, he will report to global president and COO Jarrett Lilien, who said: “Alexis has played a critical role in driving WisdomTree’s success in Europe. His leadership has positioned us as a key player in the region, and his elevation to CEO will further strengthen our ability to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.

Rathbones

The asset manager has hired three portfolio managers as it creates its first strategies focused on Asia ex-Japan and global emerging markets.

Dr Lisa Lim will become fund manager and head of Asia ex-Japan equities, while Tim Love becomes fund manager and head of global emerging market equities. Joaquim Nogueira will also join as a fund manager for global emerging market equities.

EQ Investors

The wealth manager has hired Alistair Yeoman as business development manager. 

He joins from Momentum Global Investment Management where he was distribution development manager and has over eight years’ experience including nearly three years at TIME Investments. 

In his new role based in London, he will support the expansion of the discretionary fund management business, including its custom model solutions. Yeoman reports into sales director Matt Hardy.
