Euan McNeil has left the firm

Aegon Asset Management

Euan McNeil has left following a fund review that led to the change of managers across four of its funds.

Beginning 1 December, McNeil has been replaced on the Aegon Investment Grade Bond fund, Investment Grade Global Bond fund, Ethical Corporate Bond fund, and Ethical Cautious Managed fund.

Alex Pelteshki will replace McNeil in managing the investment grade bond fund alongside Rory Sandilands. The duo will also join the Investment Grade Global Bond fund, along with Kenneth Ward continuing on with the fund. 

Liontrust

Head of global distribution Ian Chimes will retire in March 2025 to close a 40-year career in asset management.

He has held senior leadership roles at Henderson, Credit Suisse Asset Management, Psigma Asset Management and Miton Group, before joining Liontrust eight years ago.

Meanwhile, head of institutional sales Frank Doyle will also exit the firm in March next year, with head of UK distribution Kristian Cook taking on his responsibilities.

PIMCO 

The firm has added account managers Paul Keogh and Oliver Van Nairn to its global wealth management team.

Keogh joins from Quilter Cheviot, where he was head of business development for the East of England. In the new role, he will be responsible for clients in the South West, Midlands and East Anglia.

Van Nairn’s previous role was at Royal London Asset Management, where he was business development manager for the South-East region. He will continue to focus on the South and South-East at PIMCO.

Unicorn Asset Management 

The frim has made two hires in order to support growth “expand its reach into new markets”.

Mark Westcott has joined as director of strategy and business development, having previously held the role of chief strategy officer at Singer Capital since 2021. 

He has more than 15 years of industry experience, which includes roles at Cantor Fitzgerald Europe, and co-founding ShadowFall Capital & Research.

Cleo Papathanasopoulou, who previously spent seven years working at Maven Capital Partners, will as an investment associate and product specialist, working closely alongside Unicorn’s investment team.

Artemis 

The firm has hired high yield analyst Haris Papadopoulos as part of the fixed income team, to work alongside Jack Holmes and David Ennett.

Papadopoulos gained seven years of experience at Bank of America, where he became the high yield analyst vice president after beginning as a global research summer analyst.
