Brooks Macdonald has appointed Alex Charalambous to the newly-created role of head of wealth from 8 April.
He will lead the firm’s advice-led integrated wealth management offering for private clients.
Charalambous (pictured) has over 20 years of experience in advising high-net-worth individuals and families. He most recently served as co-head of private clients and global head of high-net-worth at Investec. Before this, he was managing director at Julius Bear Wealth Management, having spent his early career at JP Morgan.

Based in London, Charalambous will report in to chief commercial officer, Robin Eggar.
The firm said the creation of the role signals its increasing focus on servicing the needs of clients by realigning distribution and client-facing activities around its core propositions of outsourced investment management to IFAs and integrated wealth management for private clients.
Eggar said: “I am pleased to welcome Alex to Brooks Macdonald as head of wealth. His extensive experience and deep relationship network will bring a sharper commercial focus as we continue to grow our wealth business, centred on helping our clients meet their financial goals.”
