Aima members on the island will be represented by a new executive committee (ExCo), which will seek to boost membership and support the continued development of Bermuda’s alternative investment community.
The initiative is being chaired by Craig Bridgewater, a managing director of KPMG Bermuda, who called for volunteers to join the ExCo and contribute to Aima initiatives locally and globally at a launch event earlier this month.
Bridgewater said: “We look forward to Aima Bermuda becoming the focal point and voice for the industry in Bermuda. We are keen to increase Aima’s activities in Bermuda and will be organising events and creating working groups and committees to encourage participation and collaboration among local Aima members and other industry partners.”
Jack Inglis, chief executive of Aima, said: “I am delighted with the establishment of an ExCo for Aima in Bermuda, and I very much look forward to collaborating with the group going forward. Aima’s expansion continues to gather pace, with offices and volunteer networks in every region of the globe.”
