Vanguard
The global investment firm has added Kim Petersen to its Australian executive team as chief information officer Asia Pacific (Apac).
Petersen will report to managing director Frank Kolimago, and leads a Melbourne-based team of 170 professionals in Vanguard’s Apac business.
She has 20 years of information technology experience, and takes on the role previously held by Charles Thompson, who has moved into a new position leading international systems at Vanguard’s US headquarters.
Leodis Wealth Asset Management
The Yorkshire-based wealth manager has promoted Simon Cocking to chief executive, after six years working as a director.
Cocking has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector.
Associate director Philip Organ has been appointed to the board of directors. He joined the company’s senior management team in 2017.
Quilter
John Porteous, who was appointed as retail client solutions director at Quilter in August 2017, has left the firm.
The team, which had been headed by Porteus, will now report directly to the firm’s chief marketing officer, Michelle Andrews.
Andrews has been chief marketing officer since 2017, having joined in 2012. Prior to that, she worked at Skandia in a variety of roles.
Porteous had previously spent two years at Towry and was also head of wealth management and a partner at law firm Baker Tilly.
Wesleyan
The UK financial services provider has named Mario Mazzocchi as chief operating officer.
Mazzocchi previously spent 15 years with Lloyds Banking Group, most recently as chief operating office for the insurance and wealth division.
At Wesleyan, he will lead teams responsible for technology and transformation, life and pensions, and Wesleyan Bank.
Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM)
Matthias Scheiber has joined the firm as global head of portfolio management, multi-asset solutions. He is based in London.
In this role, Scheiber will be responsible for developing and managing outcome-oriented multi-asset investment solutions as part of WFAM’s multi-asset solutions team.
Scheiber brings 20 years of investment industry experience.
Fiduchi
The Jersey-based private wealth provider has promoted Paul Coundley to its board as director of operations.
Coundley joined the firm in 2017.
Philip Robinson has been named associate director within the private wealth team. He joined Fiduchi in 2011 and has experience in multi-jurisdictional fiduciary structures for high net worth individuals.
Brewin Dolphin
The UK wealth manager has hired Furqan Sheikh as wealth director, based in London.
Sheikh joined Brewin Dolphin in December 2018 from Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management.
WH Ireland
Jonathan Carey will step down from his role as a non-executive director of WH Ireland’s board.
Carey, who has been a board member since 2016, will leave his post when a suitable replacement can be found, and in any event no earlier than 31 March 2019.
Tilney
It has appointed Chris Moore as an associate investment director in its Birmingham office.
Moore joins from Smith & Williamson, where he had worked as an investment manager since 2010. Prior to this, he had roles at Personal Touch Financial Services and Andersen Charnley (now part of Cannacord Genuity Wealth Management).
