Swiss financial advice group makes worldwide push

Geneva-headquartered Swiss Global Group has announced plans to open offices in the Middle East, Asia and further parts of Europe in an ambitious strategic move to build a 60-strong international financial adviser team by the end of 2018.

The financial advisory firm, which launched three years ago, currently employs 33 advisers across three offices, in Zurich, Geneva and Basel, with a further 10 qualified advisers joining or being promoted from their associate programme by the end of April this year.

The total number of staff at Swiss Global Group is currently 100.

Expansion plans will see the group achieve over 60 advisers by the end of 2018, with the firm citing a particular opportunity in the development of its domestic and international financial advice, asset management and trust businesses.

Swiss Global Group consist of a number of companies including Swiss Global Investments, Swiss Global Trustees and Swiss Global Asset Management.

Chief executive Peter Balchin said: “We see great potential in the clear divide growing between the private banks and the current International IFAs and we plan to capitalise on this opportunity.”
