NAB

NAB has announced that executive general manager of wealth advice, Greg Miller, will leave NAB in December 2017 as part of a raft of changes to the structure of the wealth division.

Time Steele, NAB financial planning general manager, and Ross Barnwell, general manager of advice partnerships, will both take expanded roles and report directly to chief customer officer for consumer banking and wealth, Andrew Haggar.

Haggar said the changes would make the business “simpler, faster and more customer-focused”.

Vam Funds

Robert Gordon, former president and chief executive of Driehaus Capital, has been appointed as a director of both Vam Funds and Vam managed funds.

Gordon is a well known leading authority on mutual funds in the US.

Prior to working at Driehaus, which is based in Chicago, Gordon was co-president and chief executive of Bank of America Capital Management, where he held responsibility for a team of 700 investment professionals.

The news follows a number of recent senior appointments at Vam as part of its global growth plans. These include the appointment of David Cockerton to group development director and Helen Holmes to the role of investment director.

M&G Investments

M&G Investments has made two internal fund manager appointments.

Michael Stiasny will become managing director of M&G UK Income Distribution Fund from 1 April 2018.

He will replace current manager, Richard Hughes, who will retire at the end of March 2018.

Stiasny will join Sam Ford as co-deputy manager of the fund. He will continue his current roles as fund manager of M&G Charifund, which he has run since November 2016, and deputy fund manager of M&G Recovery Fund.

Additionally, M&G has appointed Wolfgang Bauer manager of the M&G European Inflation Linked Corporate Bond Fund, replacing current manager Jim Leaviss, at the beginning of January 2018.

Bauer will continue alongside Jim Leaviss as co-manager of the M&G Absolute Return Bond Fund, and as deputy manager of the M&G Global Corporate Bond Fund and the M&G European Corporate Bond Fund.
