In 2016, Collas merged with Farara Kerins and currently has offices in the British Virgin Islands, Cayman, Guernsey, Jersey, London and Singapore.

Stephen Adams, managing partner of the Singapore office, will have responsibility for Hong Kong, working with newly recruited consultant Simon Fraser to extend the firm’s reach in Asia.

Fraser has more than 20 years’ experience as a solicitor in England & Wales and Hong Kong (currently non-practising in both jurisdictions) and more than 14 years of fiduciary experience at senior level with two offshore trust companies.

The next step

“We are seeing a huge amount of growth in our business sourced from Hong Kong and it’s important that we take the opportunity to build on that success,” said Fraser.

“This is also another chance for us to further develop the relationships that we have already established in Singapore over the last six years. A presence in Hong Kong is the next step in extending Collas Crill’s international offering across Asia, the Caribbean and the Channel Islands and we are very excited to continue on this journey.”

Jason Romer, group managing partner of Collas Crill, said: “Hong Kong has long been a sophisticated financial jurisdiction using offshore corporate and legal services for many years. This office will help us provide a viable platform to continue developing our practice.”
