Jersey Finance

Jersey Finance, the organisation that promotes the commercial interests of the channel Island,  has appointed Amy Bryant as deputy chief executive officer, replacing Richard Corrigan, who left to take up the post of head of digital, financial services and competition for the States of Jersey.

Bryant, who has also been appointed to the board of Jersey Finance, adds her new title to her existing responsibilities as chief operating officer and head of strategic projects for Jersey Finance.

She joined Jersey Finance in 2011 and was promoted to chief operating officer in 2014.

T. Rowe Price

Nick Samouilhan has been hired by T. Rowe Price as a solutions strategist in the EMEA multi-asset solutions team, following his departure from Aviva Investors. Samouilhan will work with former Axa Investment Managers head of multi-asset investments Yoram Lustig, who was poached by the Baltimore-based asset manager in June to be its EMEA multi-asset head.

Aviva Investors meanwhile has named Sunil Krishnan as its new head of multi-asset funds following Samouilhan’s departure.

State Street

State Street Global Advisors has promoted Mark Hui as head of global equity beta solutions for Asia (ex-Japan). Based in Hong Kong, he will oversee SSGA’s Asian equity index portfolios and will report to Susan Darroch, head of global equity beta solutions for Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan).

Hui first joined SSGA in 2015 as a senior portfolio manager responsible for indexing investment management in Asia ex-Japan.

Tikehau Capital

François Fillon, the former French prime minister who failed in his bid to become French president earlier this year, has taken a job at the Parisian investment boutique Tikehau Capital.

Fillon will become the firm’s 30th partner on September 1, Tikehau said in a statement. Fillon will be charged with promoting the firm’s international expansion plans and its investments in French small and medium enterprises.

Fillon was the prime minister of France between 2007 and 2012, under President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Royal London

Debbie Kennedy, group head of Protection Strategy at Royal London is to join MLC Life Insurance in Australia.  Kennedy starts in October and will be based in Melbourne, where she will be responsible for new business and underwriting operations including the chief underwriter role.

This job is a new role within MLC Life Insurance and reflects is the result of the strategic partnership between National Australia Bank and Nippon Life Insurance company. She will take up the new role in October.

Mercer

The global consulting firm has appointed Elliott Hurst as head of Proposition and Innovation at Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB). Based in the London office, Hurst will be responsible for the MMB proposition development and harmonisation. He will also take on the day to day management of The Positive Ageing Company and become a member of the MMB executive team.

Hurst joins from AXA-PPP where he was Director of Health Consulting for the last six years. Prior to joining AXA, he worked for over 12 years in health and risk consulting with both Aon and Willis Towers Watson.
