Canada Life said ican builds on its “existing expertise in this arena” and will provide intermediaries with direct access to industry specialists who can provide support with issues concerning taxation, trusts, estate planning and pensions.
John Occleshaw, managing director of Individual Business at Canada Life said: “Canada Life’s dedicated technical services team provide expertise, information and support to advisers; empowering them to do business more effectively.
“We have listened to what advisers want from providers, and ican will ensure technical information can be delivered to advisers in the right way and at the right time for both onshore and offshore investment business. At a time when others are cutting back, Canada Life is increasing its focus on technical support.”
The company said it is also planning to offer ongoing support to advisers through a programme of training, seminars and meeting support. Advisers will also be able to access “Technical Eye” – Canada Life’s regular bulletin about technical issues affecting financial services.
