Infinity Financial Solutions is expanding into Hong Kong and adding a corporate benefits division.

The new office gives Infinity offices in four cities in four countries, including Cambodia and Thailand.

Infinity managing director Trevor Keidan, who will head up Infinity’s new Hong Kong office, which is to become the company’s new headquarters, indicated that the company is looking at expanding into additional markets over the next few months, as it caters for the requirements of its “ever-growing and loyal client base”.

In Hong Kong, Infinity has taken offices in the Pacific Place office development in the downtown Admiralty district, where its neighbours will include Friends Provident International, and has been accepted for membership by the Confederation of Insurance Brokers, one of Hong Kong’s insurance industry regulators.

Separately, the company has promoted an existing Infinity executive, Jerome Robertson, to head up the new corporate benefits division as its chief operating officer.

Robertson, who will continue to be based in Malaysia, has been looking after corporate benefits matters at Infinity for more than five years, and previously also worked in the corporate benefits sector.

The company said it has hired three additional staff for Infinity Corporate Benefits,  as it calls the new division, ahead of formally launching it “in the coming months”.

Infinity has also appointed Michael McGovern, who until recently was working for himself in the UK, as sales manager, a new position.

A native of South Africa, Keidan founded Infinity with two British nationals in 2004, after selling a UK business. In an interview last year with International Adviser, he said he and fellow Infinity founders Ben Bennett and Judy Blair had decided to strike out on their own after agreeing that the Southeast Asian advisory market was undergoing a transformation that meant that there was “room for a strong brand and a company focused on client servicing, with a fresh approach to the business”.

From the three partners working out of two small offices eight years ago, Infinity has grown to more than 45 employees.
