InterGlobal, the UK-based international private medical insurer, has made a series of appointments to its global sales team, as it seeks to boost its presence in such markets as Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Twenty four sales staff have been hired or promoted as it looks to “further develop and support intermediaries selling InterGlobal’s international health insurance plans across the world”, the company said.

Among the key appointments, Alistair Dickman has been named chief executive of  InterGlobal’s Singapore branch, supported by a newly appointed sales manager and five new sales executives and sales support staff. Their names were not given. Dickman has been with InterGlobal since 2008.

Other appointments include:

  • Africa: Bavaneesha Naidoo joins InterGlobal as business development manager, supported by a newly appointed sales executive, whose name was not given.
  • Asia: Adi Warsono has been named International Health Insurance Division general manager by InterGlobal’s insurance partner in Indonesia, PT Bess Central Insurance.  Chris Campbell, formerly country manager for Japan, extends his responsibilities in the region to become country manager for Japan as well as head of business development for Hong Kong. In China, Kevin Jones has been appointed head of sales by insurance partner ICBC-AXA Life; two sales executives were also added. Jamie Connell was named business development manager for Thailand by Safety Insurance, another InterGlobal insurance partner; two new sales executives were also hired.
  • Middle East: Michael Plaugmann joins InterGlobal’s Al Ain Ahlia team in the United Arab Emirates, reporting to country manager Magda Koval.
  • United Kingdom: Rebecca Ledbrook has been promoted to global sales centre team leader, to manage a team that includes two newly appointed sales executives, whose names were not given.
