The exchange traded products provider, which describes itself as one of the world’s leaders, said in the newly created position, Johnson will be responsible for the direction and oversight of the group’s distribution strategy across the EMEA region. He will report to Graham Tuckwell, chairman and chief executive of ETF Securities.
ETF Securities said Johnson brings more than 20 years of institutional distribution experience to the role and at BofA Merrill Lynch most recently held the position of co-head of derivative sales across EMEA and was responsible for a number of content driven sales team as well as the bank’s client management group.
Prior to joining the bank, Johnson held senior positions in equity derivative sales at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley and before this he worked at JPMorgan Asset Management.
