Part of UK insurer Prudential’s Asian asset management division, the Singapore-based company will now issue Vontobel mutual funds in Taiwan.
Eastspring, which already has a presence in Taiwan, currently offers investment products across a range of asset classes.
Meanwhile, describing itself as an active asset manager with a ‘multi-boutique’ approach, Vontobel said it held £187bn ($272bn, €168bn) in assets under management, as of December 2015.
The company offers six investment strategies: quality growth equities, global thematic investing, fixed income, Twentyfour, and multi asset class investing.
In a statement on its website, Ulrich Behm, chief executive of Vontobel Asset Management Asia Pacific, said the agreement would benefit both firms, providing the opportunity to offer additional investment products to its clients across Asia.
