JP Morgan has appointed a new investment strategist for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The bank said Olivier Lemaigre will focus on developing investment strategies, monitoring markets and working across asset classes to help build tailored portfolios for private clients in the regions.

Lemaigre will be based in London and report to Cesar Perez, chief investment strategist for EMEA.

Before joining JP Morgan, Lemaigre worked as a global strategist for emerging market equities at Legg Mason, as well as holding senior positions at Citigroup.

On the appointment, Perez said: “Olivier’s strong market and investment knowledge will play a key role in further strengthening the Private Bank’s global investment strategy franchise.”

J.P. Morgan is a global financial leader providing advice to high net worth individuals with total client assets of $977bn (£581bn, €707bn).
