Hammond, who was previously senior director with responsibility for Northern Europe, will focus on growing the company’s retail and institutional business throughout the region. He will report to Jed Plafker, executive managing director, international advisory services.

As a result of this promotion, Sergio Albarelli and Reinhard Berben, senior directors, will now report to Hammond and their responsibilities have been widened. Albarelli will continue to be responsible for Southern Europe, covering Italy, Iberia and France, and will also be responsible for the Benelux region. Similarly, Berben will continue to be responsible for Central Europe, covering Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and will also be responsible for the Nordic region.

Wisser will retire later this year after 15 years at Franklin Templeton to pursue other interests. He will continue to be associated with the group in a consultant capacity within international advisory services.  He also intends to dedicate much of his time to philanthropic activities related to the charitable trust "Stiftung der Familie Hans-Joachim Wisser" which he founded in December 2007.
