7IM adds quantitative strategist to investment team

He will focus on enhancing 7IM’s quantitative approaches to tactical asset allocation

7IM has hired Matteo Ruozzo as a senior quantitative investment strategist.

He joins the investment management team and will report into Matthew Yeates, deputy chief investment officer.

Prior to joining 7IM, Matteo worked at BlackRock for eight years, where most recently he was a quantitative researcher and portfolio manager in the multi-asset model portfolios team.

In his new role, Ruozzo will focus on enhancing 7IM’s quantitative approaches to tactical asset allocation.

Yeates said: “We look forward to welcoming Matteo to the team. He joins at an exciting time for the business as we invest in our investment expertise and our technology. We have a strong belief in the benefits of quantitative approaches to investment management and Matteo brings with him a great deal of multi-asset experience that will further strengthen our process.”
